Lake Louise

2016

VR (Google Cardboards) application, animation, audio

by Louise Foo & Sarah Rothberg

Lake Louise is a synesthetic V.R. experience. Playing with the distinction between appearance and reality, Foo’s sonic landscape fuses sight and sound. Craning one’s neck is a gesture we employ to get a better look at something, Foo uses V.R. to ask, “What if where we look affects what we hear?” From MUSICWORKS Magazine’s article “The Sound Future of Virtual Reality”

Lake Louise was developed as part of “Electronic Music and Visual Arts Convergence Residency” at The Banff Centre, Canada, presented at MUTEK VR Salon in Montreal
