Danish-born artist Loui Foo (Louise Foo) is a singer, composer, music producer and designer based in Copenhagen. She is currently working on new music, sound installations and experimental music applications as part of various collaborations. She has a background as the front singer in the electronic trio Giana Factory and recently started SØSTER - a new band with her sister Sharin Foo. As part of the duo FOO/SKOU, Loui has shown interactive sound installations at venues such as The Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) in NYC, Maison du Danmark in Paris, Telfair Museums in Savannah, REVERSE SPACE and Pioneer Works Center for Art + Innovation in NYC. She has been accepted to residencies at institutions such as Pioneer Works in NYC and the Banff Centre in Canada and was part of the 2017 cohort at New Museum’s creative incubator NEW INC in NYC. Her music has been reviewed and featured at blogs such as Pitchfork and Noisey. Her work with new music applications has been featured and reviewed in media such as MUSICWORKS and SURFACE magazine and she has done talks and led workshops at venues such as MUTEK VR salon in Montreal.
